20. Mezzanine

Mezzanines or full structural floors are an important feature of many industrial and commercial/retail buildings. They need to suit requirements of modern stocking, storage techniques and maximize the efficiency of machinery layouts and production flows. This is particularly true in view of today's land prices and availability. While they can be tailored to any building - judicious planning of mezzanine requirements early in the conception of a new facility can dramatically improve the cost/performance ratio of the construction

THERE ARE SEVERAL MEZZANINE SYSTEMS AVAILABLE

Inodek System
A floor beam system based on a steel frame which provides the full advantage of slim floor construction yet avoids the disadvantages of downstanding beams and higher weight.

Pre-engineered and prefabricated elements.

Shorter time construction.
Spans up to 7,5 m.
Simple assembly by an innovative connection.
Anti-fire protection easy provided as only the lower flange has to be protected.
No downstand beams, no service obstructions.

Monodek System
Beams are designed to accept traditional precast concrete panels.
Precast concrete panels are laid down on beams generally placed in the axis of the building frames. By incorporating the beams into the building, this system offers significant advantages. Spans between 5 and 9 m.
